Chocolate Chip Salted Caramel Cookies

Chocolate chip salted caramel cookies are a delightful combination of sweet and salty flavors. These cookies feature a soft and chewy texture, with gooey pockets of caramel and bursts of chocolate chips throughout. They are the perfect indulgent treat for any occasion.

Here's the recipe:

Ingredients:

1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
1/2 cup salted caramel sauce (homemade or store-bought)

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
5. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
6. Take about a tablespoon of dough and flatten it in the palm of your hand. Place a small dollop (about 1/2 teaspoon) of salted caramel sauce in the center. Fold the dough over the caramel, sealing it completely. Roll the dough into a ball and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining dough, spacing the cookies about 2 inches apart.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. The centers may still appear slightly undercooked but will firm up as they cool.
8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
9. Indulge in the irresistible combination of chocolate and salted caramel with these delicious cookies!
