Easy to Make Polar Bear Cookies

Polar bear cookies are adorable and delicious treats that resemble polar bears. They are usually made with a sugar cookie base and decorated to look like the Arctic-dwelling animals. Here's a simple recipe to make polar bear cookies:

Ingredients:

2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mini chocolate chips
White decorating icing

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until a dough forms.
6. Roll the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Leave some space between the cookies as they will spread while baking.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes or until the edges of the cookies turn golden brown.
8. Remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
9. Once the cookies have cooled, it's time to decorate them. Use the white decorating icing to create the polar bear's face on each cookie. Place two mini chocolate chips on each cookie for the eyes and use the icing to draw a small nose and mouth.
10. Allow the icing to set before serving the polar bear cookies. Enjoy!

These polar bear cookies are perfect for winter-themed parties, Christmas celebrations, or simply as a fun baking activity with kids.
